Recently returned home after a year's service with the R.A.F. in Iceland, Mr. George William Ellis, eldest son of Mr. Harry ellis, 55, Watson-rd., Westcott, near Dorking, and the late Mrs. Ellis, was married, at St. James's, Goose Green, on Saturday, to Miss Eileen Iris Marfleet, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs A.H. Marfleet, 5, Lacon-rd., E. Dulwich. The Rev. W. Allen officiated.Two of the bridegroom's R.A.F. friends from Iceland were present at the wedding, Cpls. Nobby Clark and George SDmith. The bride, who is a primary school teacher at the Congregational Church, E. Dulwich-grove, has spent all her life in Dulwich. Her father is an old seafaring man, and her brother, in the Navy, was unable to get leave to attend the ceremony. Wearing white figured satin and carrying pink roses, the bride was attended by the Misses Winnie Marfleet, Joan Holt, and Eileen Munyard, whose dresses were of shell-pink angel-skin, with pink heart-shaped hats decorated with blue tulle. Their bouquets were of pink carnations, gladioli, and love-in-a-mist. The bride's mother wore a grey marocain dress with a navy coat, and the groom's step-mother wore a floral dress. Mr. Marfleet gave his daughter away, and Mr. Jack Harding, the bride's uncle, acted as best man. There were 83 guests at the reception at the bride's home, and Mr. and Mrs Ellis afterwards left for the wedding holiday at Dorking, the bride's going-away dress being of figured silk with a floral hat with veil and a black edge-to-edge coat. The future residence will be at 5, Lacon-rd.

R.A.F. GROOM FROM ICELAND
A C 2 George Ellis came from R.A.F. service in Iceland to be married at St. James's, Goose Green, on Saturday, to Miss Eileen Marfleet.
