"The Horsa, Chalk No.67, flown by Staff Sergeant Billy Marfleet and Sergeant Vic Haines was last seen by their tug shortly before they entered thick cloud just before the French coast. The tow-rope broke in the turbulent air and the cold, grey waters of the English Channel claimed the lives of passengers and crew."
