He was born at Chalfont St. Peter, Bucks, and his father was schoolmaster for many years at Litchborough, where he spent his boyhood.
The late Mr. Marfleet went to Canada in 1889, and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Agnes Marfleet.
The funeral service was held in McCall Brothers' Floral Chapel, with the Rev. D.W.W. McPherson officiating, and the interment was in the Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria, B.C., Canada.
Mr. Marfleet was one of the oldest subscribers to the "Northampton Independant," through which he consistently maintained a close interest in his home county.
