from around March 1966 supplied by Andrew Webster, 14/5/98.
In
1960 Marfleet & Son, car proprietors, began operating hire
and school buses. They now have six vehicles (+), and some
interchange of coaches seems to take place with Peter Sheffield
of Cleethorpes. The livery was red & cream, but FJN165/6 are
in green & cream [the livery of their previous operator],
while KTV123, before being placed in service was painted by
Grimsby-Cleethorpes Transport in dark blue, with three light blue
bands.
And from the same article:
Little is recorded of Marfleet's service. In 1926 a bus from Binbrook
crashed at Waltham, called "Rambler No.1", the conductor of which was
named Marfleet, presumably of this firm. The service ceased by 1931.
